The new law on domestic violence against women in relationships also recognizes live-in relationships as equal to marriage. The law is a paradigm shift in the way the state has looked at the man-woman relationship.

I feel Live-in relationships are unfair to both women & men ! Thats coz a live-in relationship does not offer anything tangible for either party…
Men suffer too in a love-in but its just not reported as much as we hear about women affected !!

I for one do not think that marriage defines commitment as I think that my level of commitment would not change because I signed a piece of paper or went through a religious ceremony. I would (and have been) just as committed. It depends on the individual person

I agree, Sorab. I, for one, no longer believe that a piece of paper defines commitment.
